Bridgetown Barbados

 

Did our usual walk followed by the Spa. Really didn’t have much time to go into downtown so we walked down the pier to the pierside shopping area to look around. Sharon managed to find some postcards she liked. Came back to the ship, had lunch and left to pick up our tour.

 

Eco-Green Monkey Tour

 

Left on time (12:45) on a airconditioned bus. There were about 30 of us from the ship on this tour. Our tour guides name was Jean. Throughout the tour Jean was quite good about explaining some of the history and background of Barbados. Along the way, we made a short stop along the Atlantic ocean were we could get something to drink and take pictures. We arrived at the Nature area about 2:20, and entered the park.

 

During the tour there we saw many different native species of animals, and of course, the green monkeys which are not really green at all. But they are quite cute to watch. At the end of the tour we received a free drink of rum punch.

 

Returned to the ship around 4pm, and left for St Kitt at 5pm.
