Which Beach to take my Non Beach Loving Inlaws?

We'll be in Costa Maya next week - my inlaws will be accompanying us. They don't intend to get in the water, but they would like to have lunch and watch our kids enjoy the beach/water. The last time we were there I don't remember where we ended up, but we were constantly hassled by vendors and the bar we were near didn't have clean bathrooms. So I'd love your advice to ensure a more enjoyable visit this time around. Nothing too wild, just a nice relaxing day at the beach with decent food and drink.
