We sailed from Sydney to Singapore in 2000 and 2001. What a great cruise. Up the coast from Sydney all the way to Darwin. Then a stop in Bali and Singapore. It is the best of two worlds.

We enjoyed it so much, we did it two years in a row on the same ship (unfortunately it wasn't Princess). But on RCI where we did overnites in many of the ports.

Would actually love to do this same cruise again.

Only drawback was it took us 32 hours to fly home from Singapore, we were totally exhausted. :(

Sydney to Bangkok on the Sapphire..19 nights.

Up the east coast of Australia with stops in Kuala Lumpur, Vietnam and Singapore.

FAB shopping in Vietnam.

Loved everything about this cruise..one of the best ever.

Biggest drawback....it was HOT and HUMID. Had to do extra laundry cuz you couldn't wear something without it needing an immediate wash!

Fascinating places, great people, teriffic scenery.

I'd go again in a hearbeat...if I could get the time off work, find someone to stay with the kids...yada yada yada :D

We have twice. The first time Oct. 2005, we took the Viking River Cruise and then Oct. of this year we did the Sapphire Princess, Japan, Korea and China. Both were trips of a life time. Have been to Europe some 20 time but no more, only want to do Asia from now on. On the river trip we of course went down the Yangtze and the Gorges are so beautiful, not anything we expected. Stayed in wonderful hotels and our guides were great. The River portion was only 3 days the rest was land. Started out in Beijing, the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and all the rest including Peking Duck...they are getting ready for the Olympics in 2008. We also went to Xian and saw the Terra Cotta Army, Wow, that is not to be missed! Then to Shanghai. The only problem with this trip was you were up at the crack of dawn and busy well into the night so very little rest, always on the move but so worth it. We crammed so much into such a short amount of time.

Now, this years trip on Princess, was the exact opposite, we had a sea day after each port, so we got plenty of rest but still saw so much. Korea was a surprise another place that was different than we had expected. Wonderful, wonderful trip and a great cruise on a beautiful ship.

We hope you do go, as you will have a wonderful experience, but better hurry as it is all changing so fast.

We just sailed on the Sapphire Princess, Anchorage to Osaka, stopping in China, Japan, South Korea and Tawain. Amazing cruise... all 28 days! I recommend it highly.
