VeniceLady Posted December 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2006 In October, I found The Miracle to be frighteningly glitzy and I didn't appreciate all that smoking, but I danced the night away, even if I had to dance by myself. So, in November, I sailed on the Veendam, loved the room and the sea was as blue and delightful as ever...but the sweet old people were too stuffy...and I'm 81! Just returned from one cruise and arranged another on the Glory for the 9th December because it was so bloody cheap. Question: Has anyone had the pleasure of sailing in the dark recesses of Deck 1 in an inside room with bunk beds? Should I simply leave a note for my kids to bury me there? DGP1111 Posted December 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2006 Take a flash light and an illuminated clock, and you'll have a grand ol' time on the Glory Riviera deck. Bon Voyage ! ! ! !
CrusinAgain Posted December 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2006 Some of those 1A rooms have porthole windows and a twin bed along with a sofa. Look at the deck plan to see if yours is one.
Rare silentbob007 Posted December 3, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2006 Don't worry ... it sounds like you'll be spending most of your time on the dance floor anyway! ;) I've had a standard inside at the bottom, forward of the Glory, and it was just fine. In fact, I had the best room steward ever on that trip.
