11:20 flight in fll

I am contemplating a 11:20 flight for my march return from the Constellation 10 day. We get back on a Monday. I've never booked this early on a flight home. Anyone off the Constellation recently? Do they have express walkoff?

We had no problem making our 11:55AM flight at FLL this past Monday after our disembarkation off of the Constellation. This was the Monday after Thanksgiving, and I was a little nervous about our early flight, but we were at the gate by 10:00AM. We were the only ship in port that day, so I am sure that helped.

We disembarked at 8:45 and were at the airport by 9:30 for a 12 noon flight. All the luggage is neatly placed in the customs area and easy to find, and (shhh) you don't have to wait until your color is called if they're running behind.

I have made the 9:10 flight several times in FLL. If all goes right, it's a breeze there.

We made our 11:05am flight the Monday after thanksgiving.... even though we disembarked amongst the last people (about 9:40am). No problems. It is such a short drive from the port, that I wouldn't worry!!! I guess I was on Constellation along with xtopher_66!

Over the last two years, I have disembarked the Grand Princess, Golden Princess, Zuiderdam and Millenium and made the 11:20 a.m. flight to Charlotte with no problem. Enjoy your cruise and don't worry about it:)

One suggestion if you are going to try to make a flight that early. Do not use the ships transportation to the airport. We did that after the Panama Canal cruise and got to the check in area 27 minutes before our flight was due to depart. They couldn't get us on any other flights that day, so we had to spend the night in FLL and didn't get home until 6 pm the next day. There were several ships in dock that day which didn't help the situation any.

Just a thought.
