Help...price came down now how do I get the cheaper price?

Hi folks,

 

I just went on the Carnival website and noticed the price for my cruise came down. Hubby and I are book for June 4th, 8A balcony cabin. We are paying $1149 p/p without insurance and taxes. I just looked at the Carnival website and the price is now $1099. I know it's only $100 for the 2 of us but hey I can use that for drinks and extras. We booked with a TA in our area. If I call him up and tell him this, will he get us the cheaper price? I would rather have the $100 in my pocket. We only paid a deposit, not the full fare yet.

If you booked through a TA he/she is going to have to be the one to get it for you. From what i have read Carnival is not real good at refunding for a cheaper price.

If they will not do it just tell the TA that you will cancel and rebook!

Definitely ask your TA to call and get you the better rate!. You have a good chance at getting it, but only if you ask for it.

This same thing happened to me. I booked a cruise for Nov 2007 and a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that my price had dropped. I called our TA and she changed it and gave us the lower price immediately. Definitely call your TA and get that discount! :)

My husband said he's going to call the TA tomorrow. Hopefully we can get the new price. :D

I had 2 price drops after final payment, 1 just 2 weeks before sailing and got both of them. Call.

So they would actually give you the new price after you paid the final payment? That is great. :D I am going to check the Carnival site periodically until we sail. Hey, you never know, maybe I can get some more money off. :D

Just wanted to let you all know that we called the TA and we got the $100 off. :D He said that if the price drops again, we will get the new price also. :D:D
