Ok I'm sure this is somewhere but I searched and all I get is a blank page.

I am looking for a nice ** to *** hotel in the Miami area. We would like something near the pier or the South Beach area but we don't know what good or bad. Marriott quaility is what we are looking for thanks for any help.

Go to the East Coast boards by clicking here - lots and lots of threads on this. We just stayed at the Wyndham in Coconut Grove through priceline for $70 a night - nice place! And after the cruise, we stayed at the Essex House in South Beach and loved it! Both are about a $20-25 cab ride to the port. Have fun!
racegrrl - how far is the Wyndham from the port of Miami?
It was about 25 minutes door to door, with a bit of traffic and a small fender bender (our cab was hit by a container truck, everyone was ok, just some damage at the front, but we had to stop). I would say the trip in good traffic minus stopping for an accident would be a bit less than 20 minutes.

It's a nice hotel, and the market across the street is terrific and had exactly what we were looking for to take on board. :D

We got Hyatt using Priceline for $55. Bidding 3 star Downtown area. Nice hotel not far from Bayside Marketplace. Peoplemover is nearby but was not working since we arrived soon after a hurricane last year & most of the city was still without power.
