Cruiser Nonna Posted December 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2006 We are going to be cruising out of Ft Lauderdale - does anyone have a suggestion for a hotel that offers 1night before the cruise, keep the car and shuttle us to and from the ship? Also - any ideas on public parking if the hotel option does not work? Thank you for the help
on board Posted December 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2006 Days Inn has a park and fly package. We always stay at Days Inn 1 night before flight. WE are going to be on an 11 day cruise and we are staying at Days Inn for 76.00 including tax, they will shuttle us to and from, plus park our car there. We cannot get that price just to park our car at airport! Just go on their website, www.daysinn.com Goodluck
GottaLuvCruising Posted December 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2006 I usually recommend the Amerisuites to my clients who want to stay the night prior. They allow cruise parking, will shuttle you to the terminal and breakfast is included. But you will need a cab on your return. http://www.amerisuites.com/reservations/locationdetail.asp?facid=3929 But if you just want parking at a lower rate than at the cruise ship terminal, use Park 'n Fly. They do a great job for $9 per night. However, we did have to wait a while for our return shuttle on one trip. The others went very smoothly, but I now warn clients that there may be a delay in their pick-up. http://www.pnf.com/ftlauderdale/porteverglades.htm
Bequia Posted December 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2006 I usually recommend the Amerisuites to my clients who want to stay the night prior. They allow cruise parking, will shuttle you to the terminal and breakfast is included. Amerisuites charges $12 a day to park, same price for parking in a secure garage at the port. Sleep Inn & Suites in Dania and LaQuinta Inn & Suites in Hollywood, both highly rated hotels by posters on these boards have a sleep and park program with shuttles to the port. ;)

GottaLuvCruising Posted December 10, 2006 #6 Share Posted December 10, 2006 I am surprised and disappointed to hear that Amerisuites is now charging. No more recommendations from me. This site is a good resource to find other hotel options, but do call to confirm since policies change: https://stay123.com/parkfly.php?airportid=FLL&cho=Cruise&tid=own

stephenandrew Posted December 10, 2006 #8 Share Posted December 10, 2006 The Hampton Inn at/near the airport offers parking for up to 9 days (I think) for $20 if you stay there pre or post cruise.
jojogo Posted December 10, 2006 #9 Share Posted December 10, 2006 Would you stay at the Comfort Inn 17th ST. or the Sleep Inn Dania? Both have shuttles for airport & pier, breakfast etc.. Is one property newer or nicer than the other? Thanx for any response!:)
Bequia Posted December 10, 2006 #10 Share Posted December 10, 2006 The Sleep Inn in Dania is newer. After reading reports from your fellow cruisers on these boards the choice is clear, Sleep Inn hands down. ;) ....
