Myself, husband and son/daughter who will both turn 9 during our cruise will

be leaving on the 8/1 Conquest. Pre and post cruise we will be staying

at the Hilton Riverside. I plan on posting a review when I return and will be

happy to answer any questions I can.

Some of our specifics are:

We are on Spa Deck

Sunset Beach in Jamaica

Nativeway Tour in Grand Cayman

Paradise Beach in Cozumel

Hoping kids will partake some of the time in Camp Carnival

Thanks to all who have posted on the Conquest, really looking forward to it.

Alison,

What is Nativeway's website? I was looking at Captain Marvin's but Nativway is cheaper so I wanted to compare the two. We are crusing 9/5 on the Conquest and I can't wait to read your review and see what you thought of everything. Thanks.

Altj,

What a coincidence! The 8/1 Conquest will also be mine and my husband's first cruise. We're also staying at the Hilton Riverside, and we're also planning on Sunset Beach, Native Way and Paradise Beach! It would have really been something if we were on the Spa Deck, but we're actually on the Empress Deck. I guess we're both getting the same great advice from these boards!

EM6554,

Native Way's website is http://www.nativewaywatersports.com. (Sorry-I don't know how to make that a link!)

Em6554 - GoBucks beat me to it for Nativeways Website.

GoBucks - You're right, great minds do think alike! I hope you and your

husband enjoy the cruise, I'm hoping our family will. Maybe we'll run into

each other on our many mutual places we'll be.

We're on the 8/1 Conquest too. Will give review on return as well. We can compare notes. B and B 50 somethings, and little B and his main squeeze C 20 somethings.

Our fifth cruise, their first. Staying way down in steerage on the Riviera Deck.

Staying Sat at the Hilton. B and C staying with relatives.

NOLA is our second home, we're down there six times a year.

Grandson's only 2 mos, the other pair didn't want to take him on a cruise yet.

Can't wait. The excitement always seems to build when you realise there's only a week to go till vacation.

Oh yes, we sent A and E on the same cruise last year, they loved it. They came back with "our little souvenir". Just knew that would work!!

Probably wouldn't have worked if they went to Alaska with us. Too cold.

BillnBobbi:

We are 40 somethings from the Boston Area. We will be traveling with

our son/daughter (twins) who will be turning 9 during the cruise. Coming

down to the Hilton on Thursday (to escape the Democratic Convention here)!

Can't wait, I already have suitcases and clothes all over the house!!

ATLJ,

I am not on this cruise with ya all but I noticed that you have twins that will be turning 9 during your cruise? I have twin girls that will be 9 on 8/3. We went on the Conquest last month and had a great time. We did not take the girls with us though. We are planning another in 2007 where the whole family will go. If you have any questions I would be happy to help answer.

Have a great time it is a wonderful ship to be on.

Hi, My husband, three children and I will be traveling on the Conquest. My daughters are 9 & 10 and will be in the same age group as your twins. We are from NYC and this is our 4th Carnival cruise, the kids love it. We are staying at the Embassy Suites on Julia St. pre-cruise. Hope to see you on the cruise. Can't wait. Happy packing. Lydia

Hi Lydia,

I grew up in the Bronx. Lived there from 1947 to 1974. Then I married a rich girl from Queens :-). We love New Orleans and cruise travel so we put both of them together this time. Of course the REAL reason is that we get to see our first grandson.

Nancy: My twins will also turn 9 on 8/3!! Lucky day for twins!!

Lydia: Are your daughters going to attend the Camp Carnival? My daughter

tends to be a little shy at first (in part because she has her twin brother to

hang out with) so I'm hoping she'll meet some girls her age to hang out with as well.

Hope to see you onboard.
