Ontario Int'l airport to Long Beach port

Has anyone flown into Ontario Int'l Airport in California and then to the port in Long Beach? There are some really cheap flights to that airport and the website says it's 35 minutes from LA - I'm wondering whether anyone's actually done the trip, how long it takes and potential costs for taxi, shuttle, etc???

Thanks!

......Ontario to Long Beach.....45 to 50 mile according to Google Earth.

and.......Ontario to Long Beach.......the route is through some of the worst freeways in regards to traffic. Allow lots of time for the trip and check shuttle costs on line.

I'm actually flying into ONT for my cruise on 1/29. I'm flying in the day before, renting a car, staying overnight in Anaheim, driving to Long Beach and parking the rental there during the cruise, then spending 3 extra days in LA after the cruise. With the better prices on flights into Ontario, it's cheaper to rent the car, pay for parking and 4 night's worth of hotels than flying into SNA or LAX.

Check and see if you can get into John Wayne Airport instead of Ontario. It's much closer if you can get a good rate.

Depending on day you travel, you are better trying to get to Long Beach from Ontario after 10AM and before 2PM. Or on a Sat/Sun........

Thanks for the responses, everyone! This airport won't work for one of my cruises since my flight would leave before I could get off the ship and drive there. It will work for my other cruise in May since we're renting a car and going to Anaheim as well so the cheap flight is worth the drive!

Thanks again!
