Very nice. Don't you love Picassa? Thanks for posting...Atlantis is on my list when we cruise there on the Glory in 2008.

I just discovered it today, I love it :).

Just an FYI that we did not pay for access to any part of the acquarium... we had no problem walking freely around all parts of the hotel.

Did you actually go to "Waterscape" and "The Dig"?

The reason I ask is that they check your armband/ticket before you can enter that area.

You are free to roam the hotel and see the tank that is there on display, but to have access to the rest of the phenomenal aquarium and outside areas, you must buy a ticket. Once outside, you can also eat out there and look around at the other various displays of fish. But there is no way you can roam throughout those areas without paying....and it's worth it!

I went in Feb. on a land vacation and after 5pm we went wherever we wanted without paying a dime unless you take into account the money spent in the Casino that weekend. I saw the "Dig" and the beautiful swim areas and all of the lovely art work throughout the resort. I wish I could say that I owned one of the enormous yachts located in the Marina when we were there.

This is great information from all of you. I'm wondering how you all got to Atlantis from port, and how much it will cost? Do you just take a taxi? or some type of ferry? We're looking for the most economical option...will definitely try and see the aquarium without paying if that's a real possibility!

yes we did see the dig and the other areas... at no point did any one stop us and ask us to pay or to see an armband or anything... we had no problem at all getting into all areas

Just curious.....

What time were you there?

(I can't tell from your nice pictures. Mostly indoors or underwater)

After the security leaves after dark, they don't check armbands.

Would hate to see people plan their short time in port around a free trip to the Digs during morning or afternoon hours and then find out that they have to pay the $29 per person, after taking the time and taxi/ferry ride over to Paradise Island.

(luckily next month my Wife and I have 24 hours in port, so we might try after dark, to be on the safe side. Besides I prefer to be poolside by day, than underwater in an aquarium.;) )

  • 4 months later...

We were there in the afternoon, not sure what time but we were back in plenty of time to shower and change for first seating dinner. We were never once asked to see armbands or if we were guests of the hotel. The only money we spent was at the giftshop.
