FPP777 Posted December 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2006 We will be cruising the western carib next July with a stop in Grand Cayman. My one daughter is 6 and the other will be turning 5 the day we stop in Cayman. We are trying to decide if swimming with the Stingrays would be appropriate for children their age. Anyone with experiences to share? Any opinions?
shellie100 Posted December 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2006 We took my son at 3. He didn't want to touch the sting rays, but he got a hoot watching daddy and mommy touch them. He also enjoyed the boat ride there and back.
Nebr.cruiser Posted December 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2006 We took grandkids 5,5,4 &3 to the stingrays on Capt. Marvin's tour. Only one five-year-old grand-daughter was willing to get in the water with them--and then only in her dad's arms, but they all had a great time on the boat and enjoyed the stingrays from the boat. We tried snorkeling with them too, but it was a little choppy and was too much for them. They seemed to enjoy the tour a lot and especially the 'free' punch! kclcruise Posted December 31, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2006 My daughter loved swimming with the rays! She was 3 and was held by dad most of the time because of some waves but it was not deep.
