Cruise Tour 24r

We have very little info on the land stay. Does anyone know where we will be staying after the train ride and when we arrive in Fairbanks. we also wanted to know if there is lag time between the flight from Fairbanks to the ship or if we go directly to the ship...

Please help we are so confused and not able to get the help we need on line.

At this point there's probably little info available, certainly people from past cruises can give a pointer but everything changes from year to year. Perhaps your travel agent would have more detail....

We're doing cruise tour 14, and don't have time or hotel details for ours yet either, but for yours the catalog says:

 

3. McKinley explorer rail to Fairbanks. After an early morning Denali Park tour, take a luxury rail trip to Fairbanks.

4. Fly to Anchorage: Seward Highway to ship. Morning flight to Anchorage. National Scenic Byway to Seward and your ship.

From that, my guess is that you arrive in Fairbanks mid-to-late afternoon, and the next day go straight from plane to bus to ship.

 

P.S. I just a search on "Fairbanks hotel" and saw Westmark mentioned a few times.

We did cruise 24 the last of Aug. first of Sept. We stayed in the Westin down town Fairbanks Motel was really good, better than what we had in Anchorage. When you fly back you will board abuss to Seward where you will board the ship.

 

 

This was our best ever Crusie. We were on the Veendam and it was as close to being the perfect crusie as you can possibly get.
