Just found out that RCC closes buffet at 10pm to 1am-just when shows are finished and everyone wants a snack-I assume to sell food in other places on ship? Are other of those venues open?Stinks to me.

Can you tell us what ship you are sailing on? That way we can tell you what that ship has to offer as far as 24 hour food places, coffee bars, ice cream places, room service and all other places and times to get food. ;)

Each ship has different places for food.

On the Voyager and Freedom class ships, there is the Café Promenade that is open 24/7 with the exception of an hour for cleaning each night. Johnny Rockets is also open very late each night. On the Radiance class they open up the Seaview Café from 10:00-1:00AM. As stated room service is available 24 hours a day and the availability depends on the time of day.

On the Navigator your choices for food are:

dining room - open for breakfast, lunch, dinner - no charge

Windjammer Buffet - open breakfast, lunch, dinner, and in between for snacks - no charge

Cafe Promenade (on the Royal Promenade) - open 24/7, pizza, sandwiches, pastries - no charge

Johnny Rockets - diner w/ hamburgers, fries, shakes etc - $3.95 per person cover charge, plus cost of drinks like milkshakes

Portofino's - italian specialty restaurant, reservations required - $20 per person surcharge

Chop's - steakhouse, reservations required - $20 per person surcharge (might be $25)

room service - 24/7 - no charge, but tip the person who brings your order in cash

Ben & Jerry's - ice cream, charged by the scoop

Seattle's Best - cappucino's, etc, charge for the specialty coffees - if you just want a plain cup of coffee, go to the dispensers in the Cafe Promenade where there's regular coffee (and decaf, hot chocolate, and hot tea) at no extra charge

wrp96 has it all covered in her above posting. ;)

Navigator has the Café Promenade open 23/7. ;) Closed 1 hour for cleaning. There are all types of things for free. Cakes, cookies, pastries, pizza, sandwiches and so on. It is a very popular place at night. ;)

Coffee, teas, hot chocolate and such are also available for free.

The Navigator is a great choice of a ship. We recently did two weeks on her.

After most meals in the dining room I couldn't imagine having a late night snack. We always went to the shows after dinner and even when they were over I was still too full.

On the Navigator you will have the Cafe Promenade plus room service. The room service menu has a lot of variety and I have been told by others that if you ask for something not on the menu they will often bring it to you.
