Winter is our favorite time to cruise. We have taken 5 trips between Nov. 25 thru Feb.7. We missed Belize one trip because of high winds and it rained 2 days on our last trip, but temperatures are usually in the 80's. I can't imagine what it would be like in Cozumel or Belize in August.

All of our previous cruises were in July and HOT HOT HOT. Very uncomfortabe even while in the water. AND summer is hurricane season. This will be our first cruise out of Galveston in Jan, and so far I have heard of rough seas the first day or two going out and then usually much smoother and warmer weather. I think it's just how you hit it. As others said, some cruises can be smooth, some rough.

Smooth sails to all.
