Muster Drill question

We're on the Legend. What level does the muster drill take place on, and what is involved in the drill, as stairs and standing for extended periods of time may be a concern I need to address in advance of the drill.

I have already asked CCL about the boarding process, and unless we have wheel chair, they really don't give a damn, so a lot of stairs and more standing for extended periods of time after a long embarkation process may be a serious issue where my hubby's health is concerned.

Your muster location will depend on your cabin location. Look at the infomation on the door and make your way to an area near your muster station before the drill starts. That way you can use the elevators instead of having to take the stairs.

As far as having to stand for a long period, maybe you should carry one of those folding canvas chairs on your trip to give your husband a chance to sit when he needs to.

Muster-Drill - our first cruise I asked about this and was told to go to Muster Station about 15 minutes before the drill so we could use the elevators and the crew always releases us before everyone else so we have a shot at getting to the elevators before the thundering herd. Tendering - At every tender port we have gone to, the crew have stopped the line of able-bodied, helped her out of the wheelchair, 2 crew-men help her down the steps, onto the tender and into a seat, while another one brings her wheelchair onto the tender for us, and then it happens in reverse on the pier getting off and the same way when we come back from port ........... she thinks they are wonderful and loves Carnival for the care and consideration she gets from them.

This note was a copy and paste from another cruiser.

If I remember correctly, the muster stations are on deck 3 on Legend. Your station (A, B, C, or D) will be listed in your cabin. You will wear your life jacket and go to your assigned station, where they will go over safety procedures. One down side to arriving early to the drill: they line you up against the wall, so the earliest arrivals are all the way in the back of the crowd (and therefore stand the longest). The later arrivals are placed in the front. Once everyone is at their muster station, the drill itself takes about 15 minutes.
