Ft. Lauderdale Hotel Questions

We are takiing the Liberty out of Ft. Lauderdale in March. In the past, we have always stayed at the Amerisuites the night before and left our car there (for free, thus saving the port parking charge), but it seems now that the prices for a night at the hotels are really getting out of hand and it doesn't seem worth it. Does anyone have any suggestions of a reasonably-priced hotel just for one night? We will need two rooms, which is what makes price a concern. Thanks.

Try Sleep Inn & Suites in Dania or LaQuinta Inn & Suites in Hollywood. Both have received favorable reviews from your fellow CC cruisers, both offer reasonable parking and shuttles to the airport/port.

I just booked "America's Best Inn Fort Lauderdale" for $92/night. Saw it for $79 on Orbitz, but I used American Express Travel to redeem points for it. Worth the extra $13 to make it "free." LOL.

It's supposed to be .5 miles away from the airport and .3 from the cruise port and got good reviews on trip advisor.
