Micki Dee Posted December 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2006 Stay away from the Embera Indian Excursion! We did this last week on the Brilliance and it was a sham! It was billed as a visit to a real indian village and the guide told us that this was not the case. The "village" we visited was built to show tourists how they live, but it is not the real one. We paid $84 pp to see the fake village, see them do a few dances, and buy their homemade goods. When we got back to the Cristobal Pier, there were Embera Indians there performing for FREE and every booth was selling the exact same stuff that they had for sale at the village. So we paid for something we could have seen for free. Now I don't blame the indian people. They were beautiful and friendly, but you can see and meet them at the pier. Don't pay for the excursion.
