Castaway Cay Kayaking & Snorkeling advice

Has anyone done the walking & kayak nature adventure at Castaway Cay? My husband and I are interested in doing it the end of March '07 on our Disney Wonder cruise. Are there set times for this excursion?

Also, is the lagoon snorkeling decent or is it worth doing one of the excursions? This is our first Disney cruise so any advice would be appreciated.:)

I havnt done the excursion, however my family has snorkeled in the main snorkeling area and loved it. Lots of tropical fish, a couple of big eels and sting rays. There is also a sunken ship out towards the back of the area and a hidden Mickey statue to find. Oh and last time we saw a good dize Baracuda too.

For us it was well worth doing.

 

Hopefully someone else will have done the kayak and snorkeling excursion and can help you with that.

We enjoy the lagoon snorkeling at Castaway Cay. Last month was exceptional -- we saw thousands of fish. Awesome.

My husband has gone snorkeling on Castaway Cay several times--definitely worth it. He brings his own snorkel and mask, and there's no charge for the vest (which is required).
