Compare snorkeling Nassau to St Thomas

We were wondering how the snorkeling compares to other places. We are going to either snorkel at Nassau or St Thomas. Have done St Thomas several times and always have had a great experience, but were wanting to know how Nassau compares.

For us, there is no comparison. St. Thomas was much better then our trip to Nassau. One of the most popular places in St. Thomas is Coki Beach. We did a resort dive course there during our honeymoon and, of course, fell in love with diving. Since then we have dove about 60 times all over the Caribbean. By they way, in our opinion, the absolute best place is Curacao.

Have a great trip,

Roger

I agree. St. Thomas for sure. Coki Beach or do a boat snorkeling excursion - some are better than others, though. Better yet is St. John, easily reachable via ferry. We have snorkeled Trunk a number of times, but is not as good as it was years ago. Did Hawksnest in Nov. and it was better. Have done other areas on St. John but they are a bit far and might take up too much time for day trippers who need to catch the ferry back to St. Thomas.

Have you done snorkeling off of the beach or with excursions? We have done day sails with Winifred and with New Horizons in the past and was looking for something a little different, but was wanting to enjoy snorkeling. We have never taken the ferry to St Johns. Any suggestions?
