Current Onboard Entertainers for all ships

I really like the constantly updated CD thread...can we start one for the onboard entertainers, too? Lido bands, comedians, singers, etc. I'm curious and wondered if anyone else might be as well. :)

That's a great idea. I wish Carnival would make it easier for us all by keeping up their site http://www.carnivalentertainment.com - Im not sure they have ever changed it since they first put it up.

I think it would be a next to impossible task, we can't even keep track, very well, of a single CD or Captain on each ship, let alone 2 lead singers, 20 dancers, 5 or 6 bands, and a partridge in a pear tree...

I don't even recall seeing the dancers listed anywhere on our last cruise. I agree that would be impossible, not to mention I don't know how on earth anyone would put any of the names together with the actual dancers, unless one knew them personally.

I was mainly talking about the main Lido band (come to think of it, I didn't hear any other bands on our trip, other than the orchestra during the shows), 2 main singers (maybe the hypnotists or comedians, if anyone knows off hand). And possibly the shows each ship is running.

It just occured to me because I know I wished someone would have warned me how BAD the Lido band was on our Valor cruise. The bartenders were actually pretending to load shotguns and shoot them off at the band, which was met by lots of laughter from the rest of us suffering, LOL. :D That and the "adult" comedian whose midnight "R rated" show I LITERALLY dozed through, wish I'd have known I could have skipped and known I would not have missed a THING. LOL

Oh my. I sail on the Valor in July, say it ain't so. . . an awful Lido deck band. How bad could they be?? Dag, looks like I need to download lots of reggae on my iPod to block them out. :D

That was way back in 5/05. I'm sure there's been quite a few bands that have come and gone since then. I think their contracts are like 10 months or something. ;)

But THAT'S the reason I thought it'd be a smart thing to start a thread like this. :)

the other solo entertainer (usually in the casino area or somewhere on the

promenade)

You are correct. I don't think Carnival has touched the website since they put it up.

I know y'all are going to flame me for being so vague.....lol.....just kidding; but I thought the boy and girl solo singers and dancers for the Fantasy on my December 2, 2006, cruise were wonderful! Wish I could give names....sorry. They were heads and shoulders over the Conquest, 2004 trip, and Sensation, 2005 trip, entertainers. You are probably going to get alot of posts like mine with the mystery people....LOL!

What was the name of the Lido band? Based on your review of Music Asia, I'll be sure to check them out during my cruise.

Sorry -- didn't see it at first on the Capers.

I had the same ones as posted earlier when I was on the Fascination.

The female lead singer for the shows was also FABULOUS. I can't remember her name.

James the piano bar guy was really great. None of us wanted to leave at 130pm when the bar shut down, so he told us to go upstairs to find a bar that was open. One of the guys hanging out went up to the lido deck and one of the bar waiters came down and waited on us 'till 4am.

And James played the whole time.

On the Destiny in Aug we had Steve who was pretty good. However, it was a weird crowd on the ship (some religious group and a lot of hispanic people who hung out in the downbeat club where there was a really good latin band) So there was never anyone in there and he would always seem to go on break 5 mins after I got in there.

My favorite piano bar guy is Gregg. He is from Boston, and has been on 2 ships that I was on. He is a really good singer and player and alot of fun.

I hope that the piano bar player is good on the Freedom in Oct...

PS on the 2 norwegian ships I was on, 1 piano bar guy was really good, the other one wasn't.
