Diamond Lido Deck Question

For an Alaskan cruise we are looking at 303 on the Lido deck of the Diamond. This room is on the starboard side (which we want), but is right across from the elevators. Is that a problem?

Our other choice is Aloha deck mid-ship on the port side (don't wish this side for northbound cruise). We like the fully covered balconies of both Aloha and Lido.

Which is a better choice? Are the elevators too much of a distraction on the Lido deck? We have never cruised before, so we need advice from the experts. Thank you!

Hi, we were on the Sapphire not the Diamond on the Lido deck and loved it. Admittedly we were further away from the lifts than you (232) but we loved the deck for convience to the sun deck at sailaway and Horizon food court for breakfast etc. I certainly don't recall the lifts being noisy and I guess the people traffic may be an issue after shows when people are heading back to their cabins but the only people on Lido deck at those times are the people staying up there. I think on lower decks the stairwell/lobby noise might be more of an issue. The cabins seem well sound proofed as we rarely heard a noise from our neighbours in 30 nights...

Enjoy your travels

We were in Lido 304 a few weeks ago on the Diamond. Don't worry at all about the elevators, you never hear them. You do have a tad more traffic in the corridor the first few days as everyone gets their routines down. We never had any problem with noise at all. We would go back to the Lido deck again in a heartbeat. The convenience to the buffet, pools, hot tubs, spa just can’t be beat!
