Driving to and Parking at the Port of Miami

We are planning to drive our vehicle from Ft. Lauderdale to Port of Miami and park in the garage parking there. Has anyone done this?

Also, what is needed to gain entry to the Port - anything other than ID and sailing docs?

How do we know what pier our ship will be at? (RCCL's navigator of the seas)?

Thanks for your help!!

We just cruised out of there last week on NCL. It's a very easy cruiseport to navigate, essentially one big circle so to speak. Unlike Port Everglades, there is no checkpoint to gain entry to the cruiseport. You just drive right in and follow the signs directing you to your ship and designated parking lot. Royal Caribbeans terminal is the closest one to the port entrance, very easy to get to. I've attached a map of the port for you, terminal G or F is where your ship will be, the parking garages are shown as well. Don't sweat it, piece of cake. ;)
