Booking Excursions

First time cruiser wanting to know if anyone has had any experience with booking excursions thru Island Marketing ltd. How would you rate. If not, any suggestions for excursion operators (non cruise co associated). Looking to book in Grand Cayman, Cozumel & Costa Maya.

To my knowledge Island Mktg is the one we used for Costa Maya. It was 2 years ago now, so plenty can change...but it was a very good experience and value.

And like with any service, try them out some. Call or eMail them with a question or two (even if you already know the answer) and guage their respone time, friendliness, etc.

 

But also remember that plenty of these 'corporate' layers that offer the marketing and booking services - in the end stil sub-out the actual tour to a local person that has signed up to work with/for them.

 

The best bet is to check out the Ports of Call section here at CC for specific port and tour opinions, get the latest conditions, etc. But take some reviews with a grain of salt, some can be very demanding customers. Every vendor has an off day, it is the year-to-year records that I would look for.
