Day in FLL, Post-Cruise

We did a ship sponsored tour one time when we had the same situation. Never again. It was expensive and we were taken around in a huge bus with a hundred other people and were still dropped off at the airport 4 hours before our flight.

There is plenty to do to pass the time in FLL and MIA but the problem is the luggage. What we do now is rent a car, half the price of a tour, we go where we want when we want, and we get back to the airport when we want to. It works great for us. Most of the rental car companies have a free shuttle from the port to the car. You can get a car for the day for around $50.00

South Beach is nice, Las Olas in FLL is nice where you can catch a boat ride that takes down the river past all of the mansions. Parking is plentiful for both of these places. I believe there is an alligator farm in the area and of course the everglades. Good luck with whatever you choose.
