Looking to see which night is Carribbean night so that I can book Chops for that night - Chops is sooooooo good......... Thanks for the help...... May I make a suggestion, since you can't make a reservation until you are on board. When you get to your cabin, a copy of the daily Compass will be on your bed. On the back will be a listing of highlights for every day of the cruise, by day. This will include which nights are formal, which nights are theme nights, etc. I always use this as my guide, since the cruise lines often change days around from cruise to cruise. I then go to Chops and make my reservation. This strategy has worked well for us on over 11 cruises with RCCL.
critterchick Posted January 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2007 You can also just call Chops as soon as you get to your stateroom (or stop by as soon as you board) and the person there will know which night is which.
glowbug Posted January 10, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted January 10, 2007 Thank you both for this information - it is our 5th cruise with Royal Caribbean and I must confess I never noticed the listing of the theme nights in back of the Compass. Thanks for the information and will do just that. Counting the days till be go on our cruise..........
nanfromatlanta Posted January 11, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2007 By the way, Portofinos is also very good. We love the Northern Italian cuisine.

newhampshiregirl Posted January 11, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 11, 2007 Glowbug we're on the Jewel Feb 24 too! And...we live in New Hampshire (Henniker). This is our second cruise on Royal Caribbean (last year-same week took the Voyager). I was hoping for the same info. you were looking for about the special theme nights. We plan to board as soon as we can on 2/24 and I know you usually can't get to the cabins until 1 pm. Last year on the VOS they had a Portofino's table set up as soon as we boarded and they knew when the special nights were and we made a reservation on our way to the pool early. Can't wait to try Chops--we will do one of these special restaurants for my husbands birthday on 2/28. Don't forget to visit our roll call for the cruise http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=190508 and sign up for the Meet n Mingle if you haven't already!! By the way we are flying out of Manchester on Southwest on 2/23.
