How do I contact On-Board Services or Cruise Director of Golden Princess?

I'd like to contact On Board Services to see what they can do for

us regarding a CC get-together. It's been done in the past, and I

would like to know if anybody has a link or an e-mail address which could

accomplish this task. I've always arranged them myself, but if we can

get something additional, that would be nice too.

Thank you.

You can email if you know their name. Just email goldenprincess@princesscruises.com and in the subject line, put attention to: cruise directors name.

BUT, normally if they answer, they will just ask you to contact them once you board the ship.

We did this for our recent Sea Princess cruise and that was also the response we got. I included our sailing date, the approx number in our group (it was a nice sized group of about 40), our booking number, captains circle number and cabin number and my cruise critic username. To my surprise, when I didn't contact the CD within the first 24 hours, he called our cabin to see what we would like him to arrange and on what day. Very nice touch. He put the meeting times for the Cruise Critic groups in the Princess Patter so everyone would know and there was no need to make a lot of phone calls.

We had a large group on our 12/23 Golden sailing, and they did arrange for a room for us and a bartender prior to us boarding...(A section of The Wheelhouse bar) If you have a large group they may do this for you.. On the rollcall 12/23 Golden I think there is information on who was contacted... Good Luck!

Thank you smoothdancer!

That's great to hear. We also had someone arrange something for

us in the Wheelhouse last year aboard the Sapphire, now that I think of it.

But they simply provided enough bar staff. We had about 32 people at

that one. They didn't provide food.

Do you remember the name of your cruise director, by any chance?

We don't sail until 3 months from now, so perhaps it won't even be the

same C.D. I plan to send off an e-mail in the next few weeks, however.

On the Sea Princess, the cruise director stuck in a surprise meeting for us before dinner on formal night that we weren't expecting. He also sent down one of his staff that greeted all of us with champagne as we came in. Nice touch, definitely. Peter did arrange for one of his staff to be there for all our activiites while onboard. It was great.

That sounds devine!

Do you think it makes a difference whether one is an Elite member or

a Platinum-level member as far as the arranger of the CC meeting?

No I dont think the Elite status matters... The gal in our group who was so nice to arrange this for us was not an Elite member...

Just so happens that my "Patters" is close by. The CD was David Cole, very good!! If there is anything else you would like me to look up on the Patters just let me know...

If you have not seen my picture review of the Golden here is the link... It is still in progress, but I have already posted a lot of the public area pictures... Click on the Princess Button to see the review... We Loved, loved, loved the Golden, you are going to have a wonderful time!

Not to ramble on but I thought that customer service was quite good... We sailed the Dawn in 2001 and then booked this cruise in 2006. I had no idea what my past passanger # was so I called them... I was so impressed that right away they found my # for me, and had welcome back candies in our cabin... Ok maybe not a big deal, but it put a large smile on my face! I just love the little touches.

smooth dancer,

My mom sent me your link the other day. I absolutely love your web site!

You did such a nice job chronicling everything from your trip so far!

I love the New Orleans part as it is one of my favorite cities. And

looking at the beignet pictures just made me hungry.

I'm getting very excited for our cruise April 12th and my DH and I have

been on the Golden once before in 2003. It is a gorgeous ship.

They don't have a Thermal Spa on board do they? I didn't find one in the

diagram. I know the Star has a Thermal Spa, but I was hopeful that

perhaps the Golden added one during dry dock or wet dock or whatever

dock ....
