Dream foreward cabins

I had requested to upgrade to a CC from an obstructed GG on the Dream with my TA but hadn't heard back yet. I just went to NCL and I now have a CC listed on the Star deck facing forward. There appears to be a small deck area there. How are these rooms facing foreward? I figure you can see where you're heading but otherwise? The Star deck has the casino and Stardust lounge. Is this the deck where you have to go up or down to go to other areas of the Star deck?

Yes it is. But only when the Stardust Lounge is in use, meaning evenings.

These have a large window that people can see in if the curtains are open. The deck is accessible for anyone, so if you want privacy take a cabin facing the sea on the side. These are not balcony cabins. I am also not sure you would be able to see much over the railing. Also yes, the evenings are the only time you cannot cut through the stardust lounge.

I knew I didn't have a private balcony but on second thought the lack of privacy and the inability to see out much made me call my TA to see if I could change. To International deck also. Now she has us in 9204. According to the deckplan web site this has a Murphy bed? My roommate and I need seperate beds! I dont mind the sofa bed, is it comfortable enough? Also I was planning on storing my luggage under the beds. This is the 3rd room change for me and I hate to bother the TA again. Otherwise the location is great.

You are right, the Murphy bed is tough to shove your luggage under. Also it cannot be separated. Our stateroom steward never put the bed up and the table out, perhaps they are so old they don't work right anymore. My 11 yr old slept on the hideabed, and had no complaints, but she had a single one and I am not sure how comfy it would be for an adult. However, my sons girlfriend slept on the hideabed in their room (rm 7001) and she had a double hideabed. She said it was more comfy than the regular bed. There is a lot of room in the room if you need to stow your luggage elsewhere and you can avoid tripping over it. As far as bothering your travel agent.....forget about it....this is their job...to make sure you are happy. We liked being on this deck and found our way around easily after a day.

My sister, her husband, and their daughter (22 y.o.) shared 9210 on Dream three weeks ago and the Murphy bed is left down by the steward. It looks like a regular cabin but with a floor-to-ceiling window at the end and a curtained-off living room next to the window. It is wonderful!! I was in the cabin next door and it was just as wonderful.
