Dressing Up

Sorry does not seem to be displaying first thread.

 

I am going on a 10 night cruise on Celebrity Constellation and wonder if it is OK to dress up every evening I have gone mad at the sales and have too many dresses. I do not have the chance to dress up on my other vacations as in europe it is usually very casual. This is what I propse to take for the evening wear.

 

3 Long Evening Dresses

3 Cocktail Dresses

2 Casual dresses

Black trousers with 2 beaded tops.

 

Does this sound OK

That is almost exactly what I'm bringing on our 7-day cruise.

 

2 long formals

2 cocktail dresses

2 pairs of black pants

3 dressy tops (I'll wear one pair of the black pants twice)

Lots of people do dress up every evening. You will see cocktail-type dresses, long skirts, dressy pants, sparkly topsetc. on each evening. I almost never dress really casually; the most casual I go is a pretty sundress or nice skirt and top. True ball gowns are normally seen only on formal nights, though.

Thanks for the replies you have put my mind at rest I did not want to stand out like a sore thumb on casual nights. My cocktail dresses are silk just below the knee. But my evening dresses are long and sparkley.

I think it is a great wardrobe!!! I love to dress up as well. I did the same thing my last cruise. I found so many great dresses I had to take them all!

You will find (usually) that on longer sailings, the more dressed up will be. Again, I said usually.
