My parents would like to take a family cruise in Feb. 08; the baby will be approx 10 months old. My husband & I have cruised before (RCCL & NCL) but we have no idea what to expect with cruising with a 10 month old. Can anyone who has done this give me what a typical day is like? Are there cruiselines that are more family friendly than others? Any comparisons between cruising our a landbased vacation? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank yoU! Cruising with a young child is different from cruising as a couple, not necessarily a 'bad' experience, just different. It is a great time to really focus on your family and have a great time, but if you are expecting to see every show, have long romantic dinners, spend hours around the pool, and spend lots of time in the casino - you will be disappointed. With Gma and Gpa to help share the load as far as childcare responsibilities, it can be a great vacation choice for an infant of that age. Unfortunately your baby's personality is an unknown right now so it is hard for you to determine if he/she/it(:D) will have a personality conducive to travel.
