Carnival Valor first timer

I've searched these boards for many months and have found an abundance of information. I am booked aboard the Valor Mar.25-Apr.1. This will be a graduation gift to myself and my husband. I graduated last year and he graduated year before.(RN & RDH) HARD WORK!!! :eek: This is only our second cruise, first was with Royal Carribean. I have heard all the negatives about this line, but must say, that the military discount was amazing. That being said, I am looking very forward to my vacation. I am sure that I will not be disappointed, besides, a cruise is what you make it!

Congrats on graduating! I am in the medical field and see first hand how valuable the nurses are to the hospitals, and more importantly to their patients.

 

I was on the valor last april and loved it. The decor is very patriotic, but not overly done. The food was excellent all week, and I would recommend scarletts(supper club) one night for a nice romantic dinner. The entertainment was great, they have two big shows, and had a few comedians and such throughout the week.

 

Overall, great ship and great service, from the room steward to your wait staff, to Ed the waiter who knew my room number and name by the second day. Way too many drinks I think:)
