Corfu/Achilleion Palace

We are thinking of renting a car and doing Corfu on our own. Would Alcheillion Palace be OK without a guide? We have been to some places where not being able to read the local language really took away from enjoying a palace/museum/church. Does anyone know if english language written guides are available at the palace?

You won't need a guide at the palace. Most of the statuary is outside, anyway. Nice view. There are multi-lingual printed guides available inside.
