Bamboo Beach Club in Ocho Rios

I posted this on another board, but no responses yet so I'll try here. Can anyone tell me how accessible the Bamboo Beach Club is? Just wondering it there is an area where I can roll DH who is in a Wheelchair too? He doesn't need to be able to get in the water or even on the sand for that matter. Just want to know if there is an area where he can enjoy watching everybody while the rest of us tan. Thanks for any comments

We were there in December on the Star Princess. There is a concrete walkway all the way to the beach. A little "ragged" in sections, but we managed to navigate our lightweight stroller with our little guy in it with no problems. Once we got to the actual beach, there were no further walkways, just sand.

 

One word of caution. When we booked the excursion through Princess, we were told that the beach was just a short walk from the ship. However, we docked at a different pier and we ended up having to take a bus to the beach. For us it wasn't a big deal, although it was a bit of a surprise. Hopefully you can check with the cruiseline to ensure that you will in fact be docking at the correct pier.

Great to hear the comments about this excursion as we booked it yesterday....couldn't decide between so activities that the thought of enjoying the beach became very appealing ;)

 

Any insider tips <hahaha> Should I be prepared to be a chair hog or is there enough for all? The sun beds sound interesting.

 

Do you recall the times for this excursion? Currently, Princess is not listing any times.

We too have booked thru Princess the Bamboo Beach Club excursion for this May.

Any comments regarding this supposed "day at the beach" excursion would be much appreciated.

Princess hasn't posted the duration for this excursion.
