Nymue Posted January 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2007 We are sailing on the CB April 1st, no it’s not an April Fools Joke ;) , this will be our first time using Personal Choice Dining. How does it work if you order wine ahead of time to be delivered to your table? Anne
LARGIN Posted January 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Easy.. Just tell them you pre-ordered and give the waiter your cabin number..
Seal Posted January 26, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Remember, if by chance, a little wine left in your bottle--you can have it brought to you the next night--no matter what dining room you are in, or what room you dined in the night before Nancy:D
dsfitz Posted January 26, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2007 All true, but we found that on the Caribbean Princess in December, the staff hadn't perfected the system yet for anytime dining. On two occasions it took over half an hour for them to find our wine from the night before (and that of our tablemates), something that doesn't happen with traditional. Happily, they did eventually find it - though we were halfway through the meal by then. Hopefully, they have worked the kinks out of this by now. Have a great cruise. Nymue Posted January 26, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Not a problem! It was champagne that was ordered for both nights and there NEVER seems to be any of that left  Anne

LSKC Posted January 27, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 27, 2007 OOPS. sorry. i meant in response to the OP "How does it work if you order wine ahead of time to be delivered to your table?" wondering why you order wine ahead (does it take a long time for them to bring it if you wait and order it with supper?) and how you go about doing that. Seal Posted January 27, 2007 #9 Share Posted January 27, 2007 Beats me--have always ordered at the table--first thing to do-----in case you leave some--they will bring it to you the next night Nancy:D
Nymue Posted January 27, 2007 Author #10 Share Posted January 27, 2007 There are two reasons people do this; one is if you are ordering it as a a gift for someone else and do not want it to go on their account. Another is if you want to order and pay in advance of the cruise so that expense is already taken care of. As an example, last summer we were on a 10 night cruise and ordered several bottles of wine, champagne, a beer package and a few soda packages. It was nice to have had those already paid for ;) and the frig stocked! You can do the same with flowers and other gifts as well. It's wounderful to open your stateroom door and find a bottle of wine and a dozen roses already waiting :D Anne
