Arwenmark Posted January 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Your best bet really is to wait till you are aboard and simply ask your cabin Steward to put them on your beds
willysgrandma Posted January 26, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Don't even bother - we faxed our request, saw it on our cruise personalizer but it wasn't on the bed anyway. On the Crown, we found we didn't even need it, the beds were so comfortable.
Junebug1 Posted January 26, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2007 I asked cabin steward on day 2 just before dinner if he could put an egg crate pad on our bed, and by the time we got back to cabin to freshen up before the late show it was on. It helped tremendously.
bardgal Posted January 26, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Aren't all Princess ships getting new luxury mattresses installed now?
cbpanda Posted January 26, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 26, 2007 We faxed our request ahead of time and it was right there on the bed when we arrived. Great service.

On the Crown, we found we didn't even need it, the beds were so comfortable. Where on the personalizer do you look for it? We have requested it via our TA but I don't know where to look for it there. Thanks!
Iceberg2 Posted January 26, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2007 We sent a fax to 1-661-284-4745. Request was done. The beds on the Sea Princess were great, and it was not really necessary. Have a great cruise.
Iceberg2 Posted January 26, 2007 #9 Share Posted January 26, 2007 You can fax Princess at 1-661-284-4745 and request the egg crate. We were just on the Sea Princess, the mattresses were great. Enjoy your cruise.
-Lew- Posted January 26, 2007 #10 Share Posted January 26, 2007 In your Personalizer, click on View My Travel Summary & Boarding Pass, then click on My Special Services. If your T/A has done as you requested, you will see Egg Crate Mattress Confirmed on the next page. We have requested an egg crate on our two previous Princess cruises through our T/A and have always had to ask the room steward for one. It's not a big deal, just ask when you introduce yourself. be1498 Posted January 26, 2007 #11 Share Posted January 26, 2007 I requested an egg crate and some feather pillows via fax. The pillows are on my travel summary, but no egg crate. I'll probably have better luck after I get on board.
rjack22 Posted January 27, 2007 #12 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I received confirmation from a phone call FROM Princess that our request for egg crate mattress pads would be honored. However it does not appear in my Personalizer. Should I worry?
LA_FadeAway Posted January 27, 2007 #13 Share Posted January 27, 2007 How long did it take before you received that call? I sent a fax a few days ago and haven't received a call and nothing is showing in my personalizer.
willysgrandma Posted January 27, 2007 #14 Share Posted January 27, 2007 You can't request them on your personalizer - you need to fax a request to the number you were given in a previous post. You will see it in your personalizer after i's been requested. But that doesn't mean it is going to be there when you get there. If it isn't, just ask your room steward. But do it as soon as you get on the ship if you don't see it on your bed. But I am telling you on the Crown, the beds were so comfortable, we didn't need it. LA_FadeAway Posted January 27, 2007 #15 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I sent the fax, but so far no call and nothing showing in the personalizer. Should I be concerned? How long does it normally take to show up?
kftw Posted January 27, 2007 #16 Share Posted January 27, 2007 Before our cruise, I faxed the request & nothing showed on our personalizer, but it was on our bed when we boarded. :D
rjack22 Posted January 27, 2007 #17 Share Posted January 27, 2007 The time between the fax and the phone call was weeks! Maybe even a month.
QueenofEverything Posted January 27, 2007 #18 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I requested an egg crate and some feather pillows via fax. The pillows are on my travel summary, but no egg crate. I'll probably have better luck after I get on board. I also sent a request for extra pillows and egg crates. The extra pillows showed up on the cp the same day. I waited a week or so and never saw the egg crates. So, I just faxed them again with a request for just the egg crates and it showed up on the cp within 2 days. Now if they will just be there on the ship....
GoodAsGold Posted January 27, 2007 #19 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I just faxed my request. I also asked for a feather pillow. I found the number posted here, so I hope it went to the right place! That would be funny if some business like Office Max or someone gets my request for an eggcrate topper."HUH?" LOL We faxed our request ahead of time and it was right there on the bed when we arrived. Great service.

Cathy p Posted January 27, 2007 #21 Share Posted January 27, 2007 We have always left the egg crate up to the TA and it was on the bed when we arrived. Without it I think the bed would not have been comfortable.
stoneharborlady Posted January 27, 2007 #22 Share Posted January 27, 2007 How far in advance of your cruise should you fax the request?? Thank you, Karen
macusr Posted January 27, 2007 #23 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I faxed our request in on 12/15 for our cruise departing 2/9. At first only the pillows showed up in the "My Special Services" section of the online travel summary. Then, I received the following email on 1/23: "This is to confirm the egg crate mattress, queen configuration and down pillows. Have a great voyage! Regards, Mary Siegel Customer Assistance Special Requests" Now when I go to the "My Special Services" section, both the down pillows and egg crate mattress show up. So I'm optimistic that everything will be there in the cabin when we get there!
