Springhill Suites - Ft. Lauderdale

Recommended Posts

Has anyone stayed at the "Springhill Suites Airport & Cruise Port" in Ft. Lauderdale pre-cruise? We will be flying in Friday night before the cruise on Saturday. There will be 5 of us and having stayed at this same chain in Pittsburgh before, I know we can fit there. Are there any fast food or sit down restaurants in the immediate vicinity?

Thanks!

Yes, We stayed there a year ago pre-cruise. It was very nice and clean. There was a continental breakfast served in the morning. A Burger King is just across the street, and they sell microwave snacks in the lobby to take back to your room.(Popcorn, soups, etc.) There is also a shopping mall a few blocks away. Hope this helps!

stayed there in 2002 prior to cruising on Golden Princess. Nice, clean hotel. Sign up as soon as you can for their shuttle to the ships. We stayed there during the Fort Lauderdale Boat show so it was more crazy than usual.

Also stayed previously for cruise last year...had 4 rooms and everything worked out great. Hotel allowed first room that checked in to book shuttle for everyone. Rented a car for the day and picked up a few things at the shopping center...also went to Dave and Busters (accross the street?) and hit rustic inn crab house for fun dining and great food ( try the garlic crab...yum!) go to www.rusticinn.com for coupons and directions (less than 5 miles)

I hate to be a party pooper, but we just returned from this hotel pre cruise. We arrived at midnight and a huge family reunion was taking place. Kids were running up and down the halls all night. No bedding for the sofa bed - had to wait for towels and the bathroom contained used soap. Really not up to Marriott standards. We are canceling for our holiday cruise stay.
