we are sailing on conquest, we are on upper deck in cabin 6237. Any info on that cabin?

inside cabin that sleeps 4 people-- very dark 24/7 alarm clock or use the telephone wake up service. Above the show lounge-- but should be fine as long as you are not early to bed.

Long walk to the food/pools.

Your cabin is right next to the door that leads to the outside area.

Your balcony will be in full view of anyone looking out on the public deck- it will be VERY windy. Its a long walk to the food/pools.

Why did you want port?? It doesnt matter what side you are on for ports-- i none place the captain will pull in-- another will back in. The only time the side you are on matters-- is places like alaska.

We are booking this room and it is at the aft which we have never had before. We gather it can be a bit noisey but we like the thought of hearing the wake while we sleep. Does anyone know how the room size and balcony size compares to other balcony rooms? The web site shows the balcony rooms as 249 sq ft including the balcony. Would love to hear from someone who stayed in this room. From the web site, this room looks smaller than the other levels at the back but this is all we could get. It even looks smaller than the side balcony rooms. The rooms are already small so we don't need to go even smaller!!! Is the balcony bigger than the side balcony rooms? Thanks for any info you can give us. Cheers

Thanks for reply. We had cruised on upper two years ago, and i liked the door out to deck. Glad to see there is a door on Empress deck also. I saw there was a barror wall on the balcony, and i will have to put up with wind! Only babcony left when we booked 8b.Don't mind the walking, burns off the calories. We found forward to be very quiet. Wanted Port side because all our other cruises {14} have been starboard.

Does anyone know about balcony room #8185 on carnival destiny?

no noise issues- you are above and under decks of cabins-- away from public areas. close to the forward elevators.

We are on the Island Princess from LA to FFL going through the Panama Canal. Which is the better side to be on, port or starboard side? Does it matter which side when we are close to ports and when we are going through the canal? Also which deck is better, Caribe or Dolphin? The cabins that we are looking at are at the forward of the ship. Any information would be greatly appreciated and welcomed. Cheers!

6371---- no concern about the casino noise. But there is a band that sets up across from the casino bar that does not start playing until 9pm each night.

Depending on the crowd that band can play past midnight. You cabin is ontop of that--right next door.

You will get a lot of noise from that area.

If you can move to the other side of the ship-- in the same general vacinity it will be in your best interests.

Your glory cabin is in the same hall-- try to move it to the other side. If wanting to stay on that side-- try moving down to the aft elevators instead

I thought I had posted this but now can't seem to find it so I am going to post again. I was wondering how noisy it would be in this cabin 8318 on the Verandah deck on Carnival Victory since the Lido deck is right above it.

8318 is located under the area before the stage area.. (its the stadium seating area) wont get noise from that area..

a few more cabins down-- you could hear scraping chairs

if you click on your name you will get a few options-- view ALL post is one of them

8418 will be located under the lido deck--- before the pizza area- the buffet area is carpeted so you wont ge noise from that area.

both cabins are in a great locations-- with easy access to elevators.

deck 8-- walk up one deck and there is the food-- no traveling through the halls.

now if you requested early dining 5;45 or 8pm those are the elevators to take you down to the dining room--its the only elevator that will get you there.

If you want the other dining time--its midship so you will have to get to the midship elevators.

yiou wont hear nothing from the elevators-- wont even hear the ding. you might hear people if they are being rude.

We have rooms 6209 and 6211 on the Liberty. Anyone have any experiences with these cabins? It is above the theater, but it seems to be more over the backstage area. Will we hear a lot of noise? I have never had a forward cabin before. Will it be windier than normal? Thanks!

Serene56,

you seem to know alot about the different cabins on the various ships! I guess you have cruised alot. I appreciate all the info you give.

I asked before but I don't remember if I gave you the cabin number.

I wanted to know if the piano bar music can be loud in cabin 6453.

Can you help me?
