Snorkeling

"best" is subjective.... best on any day can be impacted by conditions and the random change of an interesting bit of sea life happening by.

However if you search this area, and the scuba/snork' one you'll find many opinions and recommendations. here's some suggestions.

Never done Sting Ray City? - many on the ship will be talking about it for days.....

Assuming you are able to tender to the main GeorgeTown landings, Eden Rock is impossible to miss and as far as many will venture.

For that reason and others I like to head 1 mile south to Sunset House....less crowded, great area for a snork or shore dive. I walk there but a cab is cheap. Nice bar/rest' right there too.

Many like to head off the beach near the Turtle Farm - a bit farther out.

Lots of options, these plus many more, and at least two opinions associated with each...;)

We love snorkeling....on our last stop in Grand Cayman in December, we walked a couple blocks from the tender terminal down the street to Eden Rock Dive Shop and snorkeled there. It was great! And, even better, nearly free since we have our own gear and didn't have to take a taxi. We did rent a locked there for our stuff. A friend of ours rented snorkel gear there too. There was a ladder into the water and we had a great time....the best areas were marked by buoys. It wasn't crowded at all despite the fact there were five ships in port that day. I'd recommend it.
