BrittaniMV Posted January 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2007 I was wondering if there is any fine print for the onboard ship credit? Has anyone ever had this credit and been unable to use it for something while on the ship?
PeaSea8ch Posted January 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2007 The onboard credit can be used for just about everything that can be purchased onboard (e.g. shore excursions, spa treatments, premium wines, internet access packages, laundry & dry cleaning, boutique shopping) with the exception of casino gaming and deposits for future cruises. Enjoy! :)
crystal808 Posted January 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2007 In December aboard the Pride, I converted my remaining credit, along with an additional sum, to the ship's welfare fund....:D Paul and they say "you can't take it with you"....! LaPaloma Posted January 30, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2007 I was wondering if there is any fine print for the onboard ship credit? Has anyone ever had this credit and been unable to use it for something while on the ship? We have it on every cruise (AMX)--we use it everything except gambling--usually we wrap it up on transportation to the airport when we dock! It's good deal--would be even better if the Gift Shops had a better selection.

BrittaniMV Posted February 2, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Just to make sure I understand, I can obtain chips at the table and charge them to my onboard account? There is nothing in place that blocks this transaction or prevents it from being deducted from the ship credit?

SantaAna,CA Posted February 3, 2007 #11 Share Posted February 3, 2007 The only disappointment I had was on my last cruise, the internet connection was very iffy with my laptop in my suite. I left unused a couple of hours of internet time I'd paid for, since I kept getting kicked off the 'net while trying to post, or could not get a connection at all. And if you have time left when you disembark, you wave 'bye bye to it...no refunds! Jane
ITravelNow Posted February 3, 2007 #12 Share Posted February 3, 2007 Jane....I had somewhat the same experience! I had been judiciously using my time during our 14 day cruise and had almost 5 hours left for our last two sea days - I had planned to do more post and upload photos but on Jan 1 they did something to their system and there was no internet access until very late that day - I was horribly disappointed and like you, had to leave those hours unused, :( During most of the cruise I had fairly good wifi signal in our suite and posted alot, so using most of my amex credit for internet seemed like a good idea until the end! On our upcoming Regent cruise we'll have free internet - but that doesn't beat our free 14 day cruise on Seabourn....there are bennies and there are BENNIES!
