Recommendations for River Tour PLUS Altun Ha?

Does anyone have any recommended tour operators that do a combined river tour of Olde Belize River plus a visit to Altun Ha? Princess offers a shore excursion like that but I haven't found a private tour operator offering the same. Usually it's one or the other. It'll be great if there's a tour that offers a couple of hours on the river and then a visit to the ruins. TIA!

You might try belizespecialists.com. I was just looking at their website, and they offer a combined Altun Ha and Crooked Tree Sanctuary tour (their #AH-CT), which includes a guided boat trip. I can't tell where the boat trip takes place, but maybe this might be what you're looking for.

Hi, I am planning to do JUST the ruins with a private operator, not sure which one yet

 

From everything I have read, the "river/ruins" combo is best done thru the cruise lines, as sometimes the excursion runs late, and the ship will wait for their own tours

 

The addition of the river part of the tour apparently adds up the time to more than just the ruins alone, and I guess more can go "wrong' or get backed up....just from what I have read. Remember that Belize is a tender port, so getting off/back on may not be as fast as one would hope
