Cunard or Crystal

Hi,

We've never cruised on Cunard but have done Crystal. We very much liked the Crystal cruise.

 

We'd like to take a cruise in the next few months, but our category of room on Crystal in not available. So, we're considering a cruise on the Queen Mary.

 

Anyone cruised both Cunard and Crystal? Thoughts on whether we'll be happy or disappointed on Cunard?

WE SAILED CUNARD 4 TIMES AND WE WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SAIL CRYSTAL BUT HAVE NOT SAILED CRYSTAL YET!! HOWEVER TO COME CLOSE TO THE SERVICE YOU ARE USE TO AT CRYSTAL I WOULD SUGGEST YOU BOOK THE QUEENS GRILL AND AT LEAST A Q-4 SUITE.. THE QUENNS GRILL SEATS LESS THAN 300 PEOPLE AND THE SERVICE IS VERY GOOD!!! JUST ONE MANS OPINION OF COURSE!! THE QM2 IS A BEAUTIFULL SHIP BON VOYAGE

If you book a cabin for say $800 a day on Crystal, you would expect the same level of service and amenities of a Q rated Cunard cabin for $800 a day. Think of Crystal as a ship with only Q level cabins. Therefore service throughout the ship is at a very high standard. They have more money to work with and therefore can provide everything at a higher level. Just don't compare Crystal with Mauritania on the QE2 or Britannia on the QM2.
