IrishEyes3 Posted July 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2004 We're leaving this Sat. to head to Miami. Leaving Sun. morning to go on the Paradise for the eastern caribbean. :p Any suggestions or tips that will make this the smoothest trip possible? I heard the Paradise is a less-rowdy ship. I hope not too laid-back. Anyone out there who can tell me otherwise? :o

hstrybuf Posted July 27, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2004 Here are a few I got from Cruise Diva's site: 1. Have mail and newpapers picked up or stopped until your return; 2. Check the batteries in your camera and/or buy film; 3. Refill prescription meds; 4. If you are flying, confirm flights; 5. Dispose of perishable food in the refrigerator. Those are only a few, but you can find a lot more info in the "timeline" on her site. :)
LuvSun&Fun Posted July 27, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2004 Just a couple of things I can think of that helped my family out... 1) Cross pack-pack a few of your clothes in spouses suitcase and vice versa (in the event one of the suitcases should get lost) 2) On your carryon-bring your bathing suit and t-shirt and shorts (so when you're on board, you can use the pool. Luggage won't get there till evening) 3) Don't forget-over-the-counter meds-they cost a fortune on board. Remember to pack bonine, sunscreen, rolaids, etc... 4) Have a terrific time-it's a great ship. You'll have a blast. Come back and give us your review when you're home:)
Krooze Family Posted July 27, 2004 #7 Share Posted July 27, 2004 Just to get you a little more hyped...Paradise is my favorite ship I have ever sailed on. Have a wonderful time! :D
aggieastrosfan Posted July 27, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 27, 2004 Any suggestions or tips... Yes, take me with you! ;) When the "forces" try to veer you from your master plan, let them! Make sure you have lots of relax time, whether it's by the pool, or your new favorite ship spot - may I suggest the massage chairs if the Paradise has them (on the Elation they were on the Promenade deck right outside of the show lounge starboard side) Have some pizza and fries for me! dotcruiser Posted July 30, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 30, 2004 Are you kidding? Layed back? We were on the Paradise the first year she was born......awesome. Far from layed back! We had a blast and I love the decor. Loved the piano bar and everything else. Enjoy!
