Laptop with WIFi card

They used g on Conquest. g is backward compatible so b works fine.

 

Yep, well aware of the backwards compatibility.

 

According to the link Going Cruisin posted above they seem to be using b.

 

"If you use your own Wireless card, it must support the 802.11B wireless protocol."

 

Of course, that information could be outdated. Their Dreamweaver Template seems to be from 2004, but no way to really tell when the content was last updated.

Yes, those are the minimum standards your laptop will need to use the ship's WiFi system. They are not the standards of the ship's WiFi system.
