Ferry to Tortolla?

Is there a boat or ferry from st thomas to tortola? is the travel time short enough to make it a day trip?

Hello,

 

There are ferries between STT and Tortola. The schedule, commute time, time for stopping at customs/immigration doesn't make it worthwhile for someone visiting on a cruise ship and in some cases not possiable (depends on time in port). For an on island/overnight visitor that can catch the earliest ferry and last return then its a possiable day trip.
