Scuba in the Med in September

I'm cruising the Med this September and I'm wondering about Scuba opportunities. I'm an advanced diver and I would just like to be able to say I have dove the Med. I know the cruise is going to be port-intensive and I know the weather will be cooler that time of year. But still...if you're a diver, you'll understand. Anybody have any thoughts/experiences to share? Any info on dive operators?
