jandjfun Posted February 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Well, We are doing the DOC dance!! But I have a question. Why are there Bahamas Immigration forms in my Docs, when We aren't going to the Bahamas? We are going to Labadee, Ocho Rios, Cozamel, and grand Caymen. I am going to feel so stupid if someone tells me one of these places IS in the Bahamas! But oh well, learn something new every day.
jimmyatc Posted February 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2007 I received the same forms for my Mariner Cruise last year (going to the same destinations that you are). I brought it with me, and they told me it wasn't needed. It seems that the people that send out the cruise docs automatically but the form in with all the cruises (seems like a waste of paper to me). BTW --- If your filled out the online "Setsail Pass" form, all you need to bring is that form and your passport. The paper documents are nice, but not needed, except for the luggage tags. Have a great cruise :D Jim

Sheik Posted February 8, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Maybe it's because Labadee is sometimes replaced by Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.
nanfromatlanta Posted February 8, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2007 They are automatically sent out with most packages as part of a standard set of documents. Just disregard them.
Rare Cruisehappymn Posted February 8, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2007 We went to the Bahamas and no one took them. I had them in my hand when going through customs during disembarkation and she laughed and ripped them up. Said they were suppose to take those when we first got on. MellowMel Posted February 8, 2007 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2007 No one ever asked for our Bahamas documents either! I had mine filled out but no one bothered to get them from me. Oh well!
jandjfun Posted February 9, 2007 Author #8 Share Posted February 9, 2007 Oh good. I guess I am not stupid afterall! What is really funny, is that we didn't get them in our docs for the cruise that we actually are going to the Bahamas on. OK, go figure. Thanks for your help. SheltieLady Posted February 14, 2007 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2007 We did not get any for our cruise back in January, they will hand them out at the port so don't worry. Christine

Just remember also that if you purchase transfers from the cruise line to get you from the airport to the cruise port (popular at the Orlando MCO airport to Port Canaveral) that the transfers are also in your edocs that you can print out. So in addition to your luggage tags, don't throw away your transfers :)
