Interesting England DVD

I have sort of become the TA for our little band of travellers, so I've been doing a lot of research. one items that I came across a few weeks ago was a DVD called, "Discovering England" put out by video Vistas. It costs less than ten bucks and it is really a fantastic overview of the country. it doesn't do much in London, but it does give you some really neat ideas of possible day trips, pre or post cruise.

What really surprised me were all the gardens and incredible flowers - okay, now I am seriously stoked for this cruise!

Thanks for the heads up, Deb! In the DVD, the sky was always sunny and brilliant blue - so who do I get ahold of for that? WE do plan to bring along ponchos or brollies, so we should be fine. We are getting our first rain in nearly a month and a half and it's cause for celebration around here.

After seeing footage of all those gardens, the rain will be worth it. WE saw some incredible gardens in New Zealand and Australia, so I don't know why I was so surprised to find that they have them in England - obviously a 'duh' moment. Darn this blonde hair.

Cheers!

Charlie,

Reference your interest in gardens.

This may or may not be on your list or in your film, but one of the most interesting gardens you might ever see is:

......... and read "about the garden".

I only mention this because you will spend your time seeing gardens, and this one is one you'll need to be determinded to see, but I think you'll find it very worthwhile if you do decide to go. If you write to her at the castle you may be lucky enough to cadge a tea and personal guide by it's creator.

It is truly about a British titled eccentric who doesn't know how to take "no" for an answer.
