Pre-Cruise Hotel in South Beach??

Will be doing 5 day mid week cruise early April, and would like to stay 1 night in South Beach. Preference is to be near the beach, so we could use beach, walk the strip, eat outdoors, etc.

Anyone with ideas for any hotel? Thanks!

Good all around choice right on the beach is Marriott.

 

Just a bit north of the Ocean Drive action is Loews. Right on the beach, great pool area, close to Lincoln Road Mall.

If you want something less espensive you can try Whitelaw Hotel. Cute boutique hotel, free drinks in the evening, close to the beach, shopping nearby only thing if you don't like white don't stay here. They also have a airport pickup shutte (from MIA only)

We stayed at the Essex House (on 10th & Collins, one block from the beach) and loved it! It's right next to the hopping Clevelander. There are some pics if you click on the link in my signature for the Fascination. It's such a neat place - we were lucky to spend three days there post cruise. You will want to go back for sure!

There's the Marriott Courtyard...not on the beach but pretty close, reasonably priced and a good location. Decent, basic accommodations.
