La Place, LA-Best Western?

We are driving to N.O to hop the Granduer on the 17th and have booked a room at the Best Western in La Place La. Just joined and reading some tips on N.O. I was wondering if I booked to far away, being mardi gras it was tough getting a room period. Anyone stayed there or can give me info it would be great
