Is the Hiltin In Galveston close to any stores to get wine and diet coke?

We are taking a limo from Houston to Gavleston and staying at the Hilton since we won't have a car we were wondering if it is in walking distance of somewhere that we can pick up some wine and diet coke to take on the boat with us

I can't answer your question; BUT If you are taking a Sunday cruise, be aware that ALL liquor stores in Texas are closed on Sundays. You'll need to bring what you need from home, or buy it in Texas on Saturday.

There is a Kroger at 59th and Seawall, but I am not sure how close it is to the Hilton. If you are sailing on a Sunday, you will have to wait until noon to buy wine, no liquor stores are open on Sunday in Texas.
